9 High-Achieving Habits
By Dee Taylor-Jolley
“It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken.” – Franklin Parson Perdue
Everything we want in life comes with a price tag.
Frank Perdue was a shy, only child born to a chicken farmer in Salisbury, Maryland, in 1920.
He joined the family business at the age of 19 after dropping out of college at Salisbury University.
Now hailed as a visionary, Frank Perdue's promotion of the
Perdue brand through high-profile advertising with himself as the
pitchman resulted in it being the first well-known brand of chicken in the United States.
His marketing of himself was radial at that time. CEOs were not usually public spokespeople for their products.
Perdue did what no one else had done up to this point. Even though he was shy, he was determined to his grow his chicken company.
You may need to toughen up to do what others won’t to grow your business, grow yourself, grow your family.
Embrace the discomfort or suffering that you’re willing to accept.
Toughen up and go fight for your goals.
